In objective-c programming language, what is an object?

I am just a high school kid who learned a little bit about this, so don't trust my word. You're probably thinking of Object - Oriented programming. It's more of a style than an actual object. It's a way of programming. You use blocks of code and run them through a "main" "engine" block of code. Not in one gigantic mess. It's more organized and pretty much all pros use this method.
