Is it okay to ignore him ?

I've been with my boyfriend for a year and we havent had a lot of problems tbh but him and i are quite paranoid because of our pasts but it doesn't effect us too much. Anyway, we had an issue months ago when i discovered him talking to his ex via facebook (typical) and she was saying how much she loved him blabla. I confronted him straight away and said you've let me down i feel hurt you promised to never do anything to hurt me, blabla and things didnt fix themselves for a while and he promised me that she wasnt messaging him no more but i saw she was, which hurt me more. And one day i wasnt myself and he kept asking why and i told him that i still knew and i cried but felt better that i'd told him. I left the room and came back and he was crying and he promised to never hurt me in anyway again and he hasnt since. I never ignored him and tried to be normal as i could when this all happened and he was always the one wanting to ignore me which hurt me. Okay, whenever things happen between us and he's done something, i get upset but i always talk to him again and i dont think he ever fully understands that he has hurt me cos i dont have the will power to ignore him when it comes to it. So he added this girl on facebook and i asked who is she and he said someone from xbox okay that's fine, but it bothered me and he called me a weirdo and said you know i dont add randomers and yeah i believe him but im still upset and it might sound ridiculous, but for once i want him to know he does sometimes upset me. Is ignoring him a good idea or carry on as normal? Asap answer please x
