How can I be popular middle school?

This may be different from the usual, "How can I be popular in middle school?" First off, my school begins with fifth grade in middle school. I am going into junior high ( 7th grade) Second, I am known as "The Weirdo" in my school. I would like to rise up from the ashes and well, be popular. Any tips or ideas?
